A long absence has finally given way to a glimmer of hope for Mudryk over reviving his football career. The winger, known for his bold style and striking tattoos, got his chance to return to the pitch in Chelsea's friendly against Juventus.

Mudryk sits on the list of players Chelsea hope to loan to a European club, giving him regular minutes and a way to rebuild his level after so long out, according to the Spanish newspaper "AS".

Coventry City, newly promoted to the English Championship under Frank Lampard, have been linked with the winger. Lately, though, a move to France's Strasbourg has gathered pace.

Financial backing from Chelsea could help push the deal through to the French league, in an attempt to hand him the right environment to rebuild and play regularly.

English media tell a different story. Outlets including the British Broadcasting Corporation "BBC" say Mudryk would rather stay in England, hoping to join a Premier League club.

Clubs in Italy are keen too. His future stays wide open during the current window.

A long contract keeps Chelsea optimistic about his future

For all Mudryk has been through, Chelsea retain some optimism about his future, not least because his contract runs until 2031.

The biggest challenge is clear. He must recover his physical and technical sharpness, then earn a real chance to play regularly, whether at Chelsea or on a new loan.

After months in the wilderness, Mudryk's career faces a turning point. Either that friendly return kick-starts the revival of his talent, or it marks the first step out of Chelsea in search of a fresh start.
