Aston Villa And Everton Target 'Has Placed Furniture Orders'

Aston Villa and Everton linked Gabriel Sara looks unlikely to leave Galatasaray this summer, with a clue to what his immediate future holds provided in his domestic plans.

The Brazilian joined Turkish giants Galatasaray in the summer of 2024 from Norwich City and since then has helped them lift back-to-back Turkish Super Lig titles.

Sara also enjoyed an impressive campaign in front of goal last season, scoring six times and providing five assists in 42 appearances.

Those performances made sure that when Premier League sides were looking at midfield options for this summer he was on their radar.

The Galatasaray star has been linked with a move to the Premier League on several occasions and in May it was suggested that Aston Villa were holding talks regarding a transfer for him.

Everton also showed interest in Sara, with it then claimed that he had not completely closed the idea on either Premier League club.

That though may indeed now be the case, with a big clue that Sara is intending to stay at Galatasaray into the new season emerging.

According to Turkish outlet HT Spor (via Webaslan), Sara, who recently moved into a new house 'has placed furniture orders'.

He has ordered new pieces of furniture to be delivered to his house in Istanbul and that has been seen as a 'strong indication' that he will stay put.

Sara would be unlikely to go to the trouble of picking out and ordering furniture if he felt there was a real possibility he would need to leave Turkey within the coming weeks.

Galatasaray are keen to keep hold of Sara, who has also been linked with a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia.

Premier League sides could still go for Sara and convince him to abandon his new pieces of furniture, but it appears the midfielder is not actively expecting them to.

Aston Villa and Everton have both signed midfielders this summer, however they could still be in the market for more additions in the engine room and Sara remains a highly rated performer.
