Hailing from Sydney, Australia, Flynn Henry's career continues to shine after being cast in Greyhound 2, an Apple Original Film, written by and starring two-time Academy Award-winning actor Tom Hanks. After a rigorous casting process, Flynn was selected to perform in the large-scale production, directed by Aaron Schneider, bolstering an already impressive lineup including Elizabeth Shue, Stephen Graham and Jack Patten.

The project, appropriately, brought Flynn back to his hometown, where the film entered production earlier in the year. Ironically, he was exploring some theatre opportunities in Los Angeles when the role came to fruition, allowing the Australian actor to contribute to a big-budget feature on home soil.

This latest role marks another significant milestone in his career, and builds upon his accomplished body of work across television, stage and live performance. His past credits include working with several of the world's most recognizable entertainment networks, including Nickelodeon, Disney and ABC. These major entertainment networks have repeatedly selected and trusted Flynn to perform in their productions. Specifically, Flynn was cast as a lead in a number of Disney projects, as well as being selected to lead the highly popular ABC series Pet Superstars. Additionally, Flynn has starred in various independent short films produced in both Los Angeles and Sydney.

These achievements have led to Flynn being offered representation with The Characters Talent Agency - one of the most prominent talent agencies in Canada - that represents top-flight, in-demand actors. This signing reflects the impressive career Flynn has built across screen, stage and live performance, and will enable him to collaborate with a wider network of industry professionals.

Alongside his on-screen credits, Flynn also has extensive theatre experience. He was selected by Baz Luhrmann, through a highly competitive professional casting process, to play the principal role of Luke in Strictly Ballroom the Musical. Luhrmann, a two-time Academy Award-nominated director, brought his signature flair and theatricality to the Lyric Theatre - Sydney's largest musical theatre venue - with Flynn performing for the entire six-month stint. Throughout the run, Flynn's character Luke, as well as his ballroom partner Kylie, became cult favorites of the show.

Flynn is also an exceptional screenwriter, whose talent extends well beyond performing. Developing his own work has been a cornerstone of his career, with a passion for creating opportunities for up-and-coming Australian talent. In 2025, Flynn joined Mia and Zara Parsonage to establish Sook Productions, an independent production company dedicated to showcasing Sydney-based stories and bringing them to life.

Flynn produced and starred in Sook Productions' debut short film, The Burb, which is a mockumentary-style comedy inspired by the beautifully unconventional relationships that make up 'quintessentially Aussie' neighborhoods. The Burb draws directly from the world Flynn knows best, and as a result, won Best New Director and was nominated for Best Cast at Couch Film Festival in Toronto. The highly competitive festival receives over 2000 international submissions per year.

Flynn's pathway into the film industry was somewhat unconventional. In an effort to truly understand the beast that is Hollywood from all angles, Flynn interned for two summers in Lionsgate's casting department, working under industry heavyweight Marcello Bellisario. His expert insights (as well as sifting through mountains of self-tapes), gave Flynn an understanding and perspective on the industry, and allowed him to peek behind the curtain of the business - an opportunity that few actors get to experience.

From a young age, performing was always on Flynn's horizon, acting and dancing from the age of 10 at Brent Street Performing Arts (now known for their reality TV show Dance Life). To this day, Flynn is an award-winning tap dancer - a skill that sets him apart from the rest.

In 2024, he put those abilities to use in a production of Mack and Mabel at the El Portal Theatre in LA, performing alongside Dermot Mulroney and Australian musical theatre royalty, Caroline O'Connor. The production was a sold-out success and was labeled a "Triumph" by BroadwayWorld.

Considering his prolific background in multiple facets of the performing arts, Flynn modeled his early career after Hugh Jackman. Also from Sydney, Australia, Jackman represents the benchmark in film, TV and theatre, particularly how he shifts seamlessly between major screen roles and world-class stage performance. Flynn has managed to strike a similar chord, refusing to be confined to a single discipline, achieving acclaimed success in multiple mediums.

Flynn's role in Greyhound 2 adds yet another jewel to his crown, signifying a major milestone in his already successful Film and TV career. Flynn remains focused on developing and contributing to projects across screen, stage, and live performance, while continuing to create original work. He is truly honored to be representing the next generation of Australian performers on the international stage.
