West Ham have completed the signing of experienced defender Joel Veltman on a free transfer following the expiry of his contract at Brighton & Hove Albion.
The 34-year-old arrives with a wealth of top-level experience, having made more than 450 senior appearances for Ajax and Brighton during a career that has included domestic titles, European football and over 160 Premier League matches.
Veltman spent six seasons on the south coast after joining Brighton in 2020, playing a key role in the club's rise under Roberto De Zerbi, including their historic qualification for the Europa League. He was offered fresh terms by the Seagulls but opted for a new challenge.
The Dutch international, who has earned 28 caps for his country, also featured in the Netherlands squad that reached the 2014 World Cup semi-finals and later represented his nation at Euro 2020.
