The moment happened during the Delhi Premier League 2026 match between Outer Delhi Warriors and New Delhi Kings, with ODW chasing a 156-run target (DLS). Batter Pratham Saluja struck the ball towards mid-on in the final ball of the 15th and final over of the innings and immediately sprinted for a single. The match had been shortened due to rain.

NDK's Himmat Singh charged to collect the ball but failed to get a clean hold, kicking it out of frustration after the misstep. But the ball trajectory was towards the wicket, and it struck the stumps while Saluja was outside the crease.

New Delhi erupted in cheers after Himmat's footwork struck right on the timber, and his teammates were in disbelief at what had happened.

Outer Delhi still pull of victory

While Himmat's bizarre heroics helped New Delhi gain a key opportunity as the game headed for a Super Over, Outer Delhi regained charge after scoring 20/1 in an over, with Monu Shukla smashing three sixes, giving New Delhi a 21-run target.
