Arsenal handed huge hint in Vinicius Jr transfer as key figure flies in

Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr is being eyed by Arsenal in the transfer window as they look to defend their Premier League title this season

Arsenal's pursuit of Vinicius Jr has taken a fresh twist after the president of Roc Nation Sports confirmed he's travelling to London.

Michael R. Yormark took to Instagram to reveal he's travelling to the capital as speculation around his client's future at Real Madrid continues to grow.

Writing in a post on his Instagram story, Yormark said: "London, here I come. Let's go!"

The Gunners have enquired about the Brazil international, as boss Mikel Arteta wants to sign proven talent this summer. However, a report emerged on Friday claiming that Real tabled a final take it or leave it contract offer to Vinicius.

Real have tried to renew Vinicius' deal and opened further talks with him earlier this week, but with no progress made, they have now hit their star man with an ultimatum.

The La Liga giants have informed the 26-year-old's camp that the latest contract offer they submitted is final and there will be no further increase nor another round of negotiations.

If Vinicius accepts, his deal will be renewed, however, if he rejects the offer, Madrid will open the door to a sale this summer to prevent the Brazilian from entering his final contract year and leaving for free later, according to Spanish publication Marca.

Amid the speculation, Roc Nation took the unusual step on Sunday by hitting out at 'fake and damaging' reports in a statement shared by Yormark on Instagram.

It's unclear whether Roc Nation was speaking about Vinicius and the ongoing rumours surrounding a Real Madrid exit and a move to Arsenal.

But the statement said: "Roc Nation Sports International and our entire team cannot stand idle when unprofessional and uninformed media publish fake and damaging information for attention-seeking purposes.

"This is especially unacceptable when it personally targets our clients without any foundation. It is disruptive, harmful and libellous. Media outlets and journalists need to hold themselves more accountable."

Speaking last week, Gunners boss Arteta admitted: "We all know about the context of this transfer window. From ownership to the board, the sporting director and myself, we know that we want to take this club to a different level.

"That is going to require a better squad, better individuals. We have identified where we have opportunities to grow and to improve and to evolve our game and what is going to be needed to achieve that.

"Hopefully very soon we can start to put things in a very concrete way."
