KUALA LUMPUR: Enzo Maresca admits his biggest opponent this season will not only be Manchester City's Premier League rivals but also the scrutiny that comes with social media.
Maresca has succeeded Pep Guardiola, the manager who transformed City into one of the world's most feared clubs, winning the Premier League, Champions League and numerous other major trophies.
The 46-year-old has enormous shoes to fill and knows he will be judged by everyone, including the club's own supporters.
City begin their pre-season campaign against Serie A side Inter Milan in the Hong Kong Football Festival at Kai Tak Stadium on Saturday.

Asked whether keeping Rodri at the club and helping Phil Foden rediscover his best form would be key to silencing any doubts, Maresca said both players are vital to City's ambitions.
"Foden has signed a new contract, and he will play an integral part.
"I've known Phil for many years, and I know how good he is.
"It is important to help him return to his best.
"If he is in good condition, he can definitely help us win the title."
